A poster presentation session will be jointly offered with the Congress. The poster exhibition will take place at the Congress venue, inside the area fitted out for the stands of the sponsor companies.
The poster exhibition will be dedicated to summarise the most recent trends in hygienic design with an emphasis on:
Building and Equipment Design
Incorporation of hygienic design in food industry buildings like e.g. walls; floors; doors/shutters; roofs; drains; air, water, steam, chemical, air, gas, and lubricant delivery systems etc., and equipment like e.g. food processing equipment, utility equipment e.g. trolleys, totes, storage, cleaning equipment, utensils etc.
Cleaning methods for open and closed surfaces. Cleaning program development, validation, monitoring and verification e.g. for microbes, allergens, foreign bodies, DNA and proteins.
Vertical farming, hygiene and robotics. Novel materials/novel application of existing materials, to enhance hygiene. Nanomaterials and the role of composites. Innovative, hygienically designed equipment.
Upgrading and renovation
The impact of buildings design and refurbishment on contamination control (microbes, DNA, allergens, foreign bodies, protein). Risk assessment on changes to fabric or layout of factories. Factory new build/renovation case studies. Use of novel technologies/materials during design and refurbishment.
We hereby invite the following target groups to apply for poster submission: scientists and researchers as well as experts from the relevant industries, research institutes, universities and authorities concerned with hygienic engineering and design, food production, food processing, food quality and safety, innovative technologies and new trends in food safety.
Submission deadline for poster abstracts:
Poster abstracts can be submitted together with the completed poster application form until 30 June 2018 as described in the Call for Posters. The Scientific Congress Committee will review and select the best of the submitted abstracts to be displayed on occasion of the EHEDG World Congress on Hygienic Engineering & Design 2018.
The most advanced abstracts can be submitted for article publication in a future EHEDG publication like e.g. the Yearbook or in other high-level publications as to be determined by the Congress Committee.
If you are interested in submitting a poster abstract, please contact Ms. Debra Smith (email@example.com) on behalf of the Scientific Congress Committee or the Program Chairman Dr. John Holah (John.Holah@holchem.co.uk).
